Swedish Massage / Relaxation
The term "Swedish Massage" refers to a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles and massaging in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. Swedish massage was developed in the 1700's by a Swedish doctor named Per Henrik Ling.
The most commonly offered type of massage. It is ideal for overall relaxation and health maintenance. This style of massage combines long, gliding strokes, kneading of individual muscles, and friction techniques. It uses a firm, but gentle pressure to improve circulation, ease muscle aches, improve flexibility, and facilitates relaxation.
